Be My Guest

I’ve done some thinking and considering about the nature of my blog. What I want from it, where I want it to go, and how I want it to grow. I’m still figuring it out, but one thing is for sure, I want this to be a resource for people to have their voices heard as well as mine.

I’m opening this blog up for the possibility of anyone who wants to guest post to do so. Now, this doesn’t mean that if you send me something that I will automatically publish it, I do have quality to think about. There are a few guidelines I’m going to lay down that need to be followed before I will put your post on here.

#1 Know what this blog is about. If the goal of your post is shameless self promotion then it won’t see the light of day here.

#2 The tone of this blog is “business casual”. I don’t write this like it’s a straight laced marketing manual, but I also don’t write it like it’s a locker room. Imagine a conversation with a business peer. That’s what I aim for with each post.

#3 Grammar and spelling. If you post is terrible on these fronts or just sounds like a grade schooler wrote it I’ll send it back and thank you for your time. I’m not an editor, nor will I play one. If your post is not at least the quality I myself put out, I won’t publish it.

If you have an idea for a blog post and would like to see it appear here then please, by all means send me the idea (or even the finished post) to shua (at) shuaism (.) com and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Josh “Shua” Peters

Here are a few previous guest posts so you can see what others have posted. I don’t like to kill the original writers voice so you should be able to see a shift in tone from how I usually write to how these guests.
